Meals are prepared according to the guidelines of Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn, who in his recent study using a similar nutrition therapy for CVD patients, showed 89% adherence to the diet, with a 99% reduction in the recurrent event rate for adherent participants over that for non-adherent participants. Twice or three times per week food is delivered to the home (or picked up at the center) with packaged meals for freezing, refrigeration, and heating via oven or microwave as desired. More than 40 meal options are available, and individual preferences for salad greens, dressings, spice levels and other requirements are honored.
